Our History

In 1994, a group of software geeks and network engineers founded a local ISP called FastLane in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. At the time, the Internet was still very much in its infancy with DIAL UP being state of the art in connecting to the Internet.

As the ISP grew, its partners realized off the shelf software that they were using (QuickBooks) was wholly insufficient for use by an ISP. After not finding a suitable solution in the market, they did what came natural to them: developed their own application.

This application which ultimately became known as BillMax, had a dramatic positive affect on Fastlane’s business. Within weeks of deployment they realized improvements in cash flow, freed up staff and offered better customer service.

Word got around the industry of their solution and eventually FastLane began selling BillMax to other ISPs. Eventually FastLane sold off their ISP and began developing and offering BillMax as their only product. The name FastLane was sold with the ISP.

We are very knowledgeable about the ISP and WISP business and how to best implement billing and provisioning software solution to meet your needs. Since 1998, when we began to sell BillMax, we have done hundreds of installations around the world. We work very closely with our clients to put in place the required solution.
