Set Avalara® Parameters

  1. Login to the BillMax Staff Portal using an ID with Configuration privileges.
  2. Select System Administration > Avalara Tax Service > General.
  3. Note: During the time of transition, taxing will continue with the internal BillMax taxing module so tax settings are present as well as the Avalara settings for setup. When the Tax Engine is Active, the internal BillMax settings will not be seen.
    Enter Not Active for Tax Engine to begin Setup. Enter Active when the system is ready to be tested or go live.
  4. Enter Username,Password, Client ID provided by your Avalara agreement.
  5. Enter Sandbox for End Point when testing begins until the system is ready to "Go Live" and then enter Production.
  6. Enter Disabled for Taxing during setup. Enter Enabled to begin testing.
  7. Enter the values for other fields as needed and click Save.
