The Customer Portal requires PHP 8.1 or greater. It also requires the following php modules: php-pear, php-soap, php-xml, php-gd, php-pdo, php-mbstring, php-curl. These prerequisites are handled by the BillMax installation process. However, should you choose to run the Portal on another host (your web site for instance), you will need to ensure these packages are installed.
Prior versions of BillMax running CentOS 7® required replacing the stock PHP available on the OS. This step is no longer necessary. The portal uses SSL for communication between the portal (client) and BillMax (server). To use the portal, a SSL certificate must be created. In addition BillMax must be configured for the portal using the setup of a Remote Application in the BillMax Staff Interface.
