Setup for Discounts for Avalara

Discounts are available at the Account, User or Package/Service level. The Discount Type is required for each discount if using Avalara.

  1. Note:
    We are not tax experts. Discuss settings with Avalara representative.
    In the Discounts display box , choose a Discount Type. Default is None if no Discount is entered.
    • Retail Product - discount from normal price to get the sale
    • Manufacturer Product - discount given if a kickback is to be received from manufacturer
    • Subsidized - ACP, Lifeline, etc.
    • Good Will - trade for services, possibly discount for outage
  2. Click Save.
