Configuring the service_hook Script for Mikrotik
Edit the BillMax service_hook script to enable the MikroTik provisioning program to execute provisioning actions when customer services are created, updated, suspended, or closed.
MikroTik provisioning in BillMax is performed by the mkmkq.pl
program. Like other BillMax provisioning programs, mkmkq.pl is
called from the service_hook script. You must add a configuration
hash to service_hook that maps the MikroTik resource to the
appropriate provisioning actions (Create, Suspend, Close, Enable, and others).
Before performing these steps, confirm the resource number assigned when you created the MikroTik provisioning resource in the preceding task.
After saving the script, verify the configuration by creating a test customer account. On the service location, specify the Tower and Access Point as applicable. Create a Package or Service using a definition configured for MikroTik provisioning. Enter the IP address, MAC address, and confirm the speed field is pre-populated. If MAC addresses are inventoried, you will see the MAC address as a choice as well. Otherwise, the MAC address has to be manually entered. If you need to change a customer's (service) speed, do a Service Change instead. Save the service to trigger the service_hook and confirm provisioning completes successfully on the router.
