Change the AES Encryption Key

Describes how to change the encryption key used to encrypt credit card and electronic check bank account information stored in BillMax.

You must know one of the two possible AES Passphrases associated with the current encryption.

Perform these steps periodically. If not done within a 90 day period, error message 11500 will appear in the nightly processing output. See Database Checking (dbck) Error codes

Login in the BillMax Staff Portal using an ID that has Administrative rights.
Select from the Top Menu System Administration > Change Encryption.
Enter the Old and New AES Passphrases:
Select Process Numbers from the Context Menu.
